This is not really a carbonara, but it's close enough, and very tasty.
- 250g Pasta
- ½ packet of bacon or cooked ham
- 1 sachet mushroom cup-soup, or 1 small tin mushroom soup
- A little oil
- ½ cup of water
- Some mushrooms
- 1 onion - chopped
- A bit of cheese - grated or finely chopped
- ½ tsp dried garlic (or as much as you like)
- Black Pepper
Cook the pasta, drain it and put it aside - a clean carrier bag is fine! Fry the bacon, onion and mushrooms for a few minutes. Add the water, garlic and herbs and then the soup powder, stirring throroughly. Heat and simmer briefly to reduce to a cream-like consistency. Add the cooked pasta, the grated cheese and some black pepper and stir well. Season and serve.
